5.     Describe the Materials, Resources, and/or Curriculum that are proposed purchases. (All requisitions for curriculum, materials and resources must be approved by Curriculum and Learning/Title I.)
We will hire 3 part time paraprofessionals for the a.m. They will intervene in the intensive RTI program that Kellom engages in.

We are also looking into purchasing Document Cameras to enhance the learning in the classrooms.

6.     Explain how federal, state, and district services will be coordinated and integrated:
The classroom paras work directly with students and are an integral part of the RTI intervention piece, along with the Reading Interventionist. The after school tutoring will encompass daily work and correlate directly with classroom work.

7.     Describe the Transition Plan for assisting preschool students in the transition from early childhood programs:
We have an ECSE and all-day Pre-K at Kellom and we are consistently preparing the students for the next level of education. Working with the Kindergarten teachers to have students sit in the classrooms to start to get a feel for the room. We also have the teachers visit the Pre-K classrooms to begin a relationship with the students. The Principal also sits on a panel for future Kindergarten students at Educare in North Omaha.

Project Objectives:

The objective of having highly qualified paraprofessionals and interventionists is to provide small group and intense intervention work with regards to Reading, Math and Writing.  Also, after school tutoring is beneficial in the extended learning commitment that we have made to ensure that all of our students are capable of reaching proficiency success in their academics.

Baseline Data:

The data that we will utilize:

Reading - Diebels 3x year, Progress Monitoring (every other week), GRADE, Acuity, Nebraska State Reading Test

Math - Acuity, weekly unit quizzes, Unit tests, Nebraska State Math Test

Performance Indicators:

Each time we assess a child, we will compare with a national norm that is relevant to all of the above indicators.

Progress Monitoring will ensure that our interventions are fluid and no child is placed at a level they are not equipped to succeed at.

Accomplishments:

NSEA results - Kellom reached 60% on the State Reading Test.

All paraprofessionals are highly qualified and have a significant impact on classroom success.
