Provide a brief overview of your building's proposed Title I School Wide Program:
The McMillan 2010-2011 Title I School Wide Program will consist of the following activities:

· C Continued implementation of parent/guardian program support activities
· Use of reading and math interventions with all students
· Identification of students who will benefit from after-school and summer programs
· Training for teachers in the use of new curriculum
· Development and implementation of new after school tutoring program, which will be available to all students

· Development and implementation of differentiation using technology
The following are brief descriptions of the math, reading and instructional differentiation strategy interventions:
Math:
10-11 School year implementations include: The Texas Instruments (TI) MathForward curriculum will be delivered through small group instruction in a daily 90 minute block. TI MathFroward curriculum will be integrated into district curriculum, in order to provide more instruction and practice, to raise the achievement level of Tier 2 and 3 curriculum. A minimum of one (1) certified teacher will deliver the curriculum.
Summer 10-11 implementation:
Continuation of TI-Forward Math curriculum during a five (5) week summer session for incoming 7th and 8th grade students. Delivery will be accomplished using two (2) certified teachers.
Language Arts/Reading:
10-11 School year implementations include:
The AMP Reading Program (district approved) will be integrated into the daily schedule for the Tier 2 Reading Students. This will be delivered under the supervision of a minimum of one (1) certified teacher, and students will remain in the class for an entire school year.
All students, in the building, will utilize the Achieve 3000 (district approved) and the Literate Lion Implementation Model (district approved, McMillan reading program created using African American Achievement grant money) under the supervision of a minimum of one (1) certified teacher.
Summer 2010-2011:
A five (5) week summer session will be held for incoming 7th and 8t'' grade students, where Achieve 3000 (district approved) and the AMP Reading (district approved) Programs will be utilized. Achieve 3000 (district approved), and the Literate Lion program (district approved, McMillan reading program created using African American Achievement grant money) will be used by all students, while AMP will be utilized by Tier 2 students. A minimum of two certified teachers will provide delivery of service.
Differentiation using Technology Staff Development:
2010-2011 implementation:
All McMillan teaching staff will be provided the opportunity to participate in student support and curriculum development using technology. This training would focus on helping McMillan teachers develop student curriculum and differentiated instructional strategies using smart technologies.

Students at McMillan will be encouraged and supported in their education through Title I dollars. This educational assistance will focus on all students in need of assistance, and is meant to support existing district programs.
